With some much needed, but very little appreciated(😉) help from your's truly, Eric and Chad made pannukakku Sunday night. I, of course, didn't eat any, but there were raving reviews, even from the folks that normally dislike pannukakku, because it is slimy, that this batch was very delicious. This was a new recipe, and was not slimy at all. These boys are getting pretty handy! The same two even managed to cut fruit for a fruit salad the next night, at our New Year's party!
I was going to document the fun at our New Year's festivities, but my camera went from full battery to flashing almost dead after 3 pictures.
Kolby trying to get Aubrey's stocking hat back.
Teamwork! (It wasn't successful.)
A couple of people got RC helicopters for Christmas, so they had flying competitions all of the night.
Marcus playing and singing some hymns with the little kids.
That is the extent of my coverage, thanks to my camera.
Brittany and I drew blood on all the does from our annual CAE testing. We used to just test sporadically, but after our CAE experience, decided it's probably better to test every year, to avoid having anything run around undetected for any length of time.
I sold all my Buff Orpingtons, and just have 6 Lavender Orpington hens now. Mom has 3 Crested Polish and 3 Blue Sapphire chickens as well.
My fluffy kitten, who never got a good name: Mr. Fluff is the only thing that ended up sticking.
Our first does are due in about 2 months! We should have 10 does kidding between mid-March and the end of May.
Eclipse and Pippa are inseparable buddies.
My Minxy.
Brittany and I butchered 17 rabbits yesterday and saved 10 nice pelts. I had planned on selling the pelts, but I didn't end up with as many as I hoped to, so my new plan is to send the two very nicest ones to get professionally tanned, and try to tan the rest myself. I hope to make mittens or something cool out of them.
Nice job guys! I'm curious what recipe they used Kailey, as that pannukakku looks very similar to ones we've made. I'm curious to see how similar the recipes are, though I don't think I can share ours as it was a relative's secret recipe. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI love how fluffy your cat is!
I think the fluffy cat should be Abernathy. Thats a nice, fluffy name. I want to see the pannukakku recipe, too.
