New Babies

Daisy kidded at 6:30 this morning with doe/buck twins. 

Mom has been trying to get me to sleep in the barn with Theda and Daisy as they both were overdue but I didn't until last night. Daisy's udder was full-that is the only sign of labor she shows. I woke up at 6:28 to a yell just like last year. I texted Mom just like last year. Unlike last year, Mom actually got out in the barn before the second one was born. My goodness, when Daisy finally gets down to business, she doesn't waste any time!  

I'm bottle feeding the girl so I can sell Daisy right away. I'm already very attached to this 6-hour-old kid. Below are likenesses of her.

 White Face had a heifer calf on Thursday. It is the cutest calf I've ever seen even though the markings make her head and eyes look lopsided.
Cow #29 should calve in a few days.
