The hardest part of posting is making a title so I won't put one.

I’m back everyone-at least for a time. I just haven’t felt like blogging lately.
So here is what has been going on here lately.
We went to SD in May, and had great fun. Kaia and I flew back after a week and Mom and the children got home a week later.

Grandma’s dog, Uno, is the laziest dog I have ever seen. And the hairiest.

The night view from the airplane.

The day view.

I got to ride Jimmy. (Although I didn’t get a picture)
I’m gonna have a clothesline at my house. I don’t know why, but it is so satisfying to see all those clothes hanging on the line.

All three of Brittany’s chicks died. Drowned in the water trough.
Bjork got colic and died when we were out there. (In SD that is)
Riika died when we got back. She got hung.
Big Lady died last week. We don’t know what was wrong.
Grandma, Mark, and Neva came out for Aunt Elsie’s funeral.

We finally got our boilers. Story behind them below.
We butchered 9 of our roosters in Februrary and decided to raise broilers. So in early March, mom ordered some through Coastel. They said they’d be in in about a week. A week came and went and finally mom called. I don’t even remember how it all went. One lady knew nothing about chicks, another said next week, and so mom hung up and waited until the next week. Next week she called, and they went to get the manager because they didn't know anything about it. The manager said, “We can’t even to do that here.” Hello, we did it and furthermore we even paid a deposit on them! So next time we went in, we asked someone about it, and they said, “Oh, they were here and they all sold already.” Okay, we got our deposit back and went to Goldendale Farm&Home.  Next arrival date: the first week of April. First week of April comes and goes, and no call from them. We went in and asked and got this reply, “They are coming the 15th.” So on the 15th we went and asked, “No they shipped the 15th and will be here the 17th. On the 17th we happened to be in town and stopped by, “They are supposed to be getting here May 23rd.” By this time, we gave up.
May 23rd, 2013. Jeff and I went to town to get some feed, and were walking in the store Jeff said, “Today is the 23rd. You should ask about the chicks.” I did (just to see what they’d say) and they said, “They’ll be getting here June 7th.”

June 7th, 2013. Guess what happened today. Guess!

Well I suppose you’ll never guess right anyway sooo…..
…………….the chicks came!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here they are. Twenty-five  little peeping cheepies that have the brain of an ant and the stomach of a pig.

Ribsy is getting big and I now put him out on a picket pin every day I remember to do so.

We replaced the pool liner. The fire truck was used to fill the pool back up.
The puppies are getting big. Below are two of the jail-birds.
This one's name is Runty for now.

                                                               This one's name is Duke.

                                                            This one is Drover.

I bought a goat on Wednesday. She is pure alpine and her name is Amirah.

Tony and Biff are sold and gone.

I think that is all for now. Good-bye.

  1. You have a unique writing style, Kailey! I love clotheslines too, they're so homey or something. Why do the broilers have ant brains??
