Picture Day On the Farm

Today was picture and weigh day at Anne's Alpines Funny Farm.

First off, I should tell the news to the few of you who may not know. Riika had 5 puppies 2 weeks ago. There are 3 boys and 2 girls. They're eyes are finally opening today and they are starting to look like dogs instead of pigs.  

Marcus's ducks are now moved out to the gutter pond and are residing in the dog house.  

                       The kids all have names now and I will also post their weights and ages. Note: all names are to be preceded with "Anne's Alpines" because that is my herd name.
Violet is facing the camera-Chet in back. They are 2 weeks old. I guess I can't remember any of their weights so that goes down the drain. Wait, Frank is 34 pounds at about a month old. He was 9 pounds at birth.

                           D1 and D3 are now know as Biff and Jerry. (Left to right) They are also about a           month old.

                         Hats off, red carpet, here are Frank and Joe Hardy!! The famous detectives! (Also left to right) One month old. Joe is the goon of the herd and brightens up the farm with his antics.

                            And the last of Hardy and friends, Tony. One month old. He and Jerry were sick with Coccidiosis but now are fine.

                    And last but the best of all, Lady Grace. My first Pure Alpine doe. 2 weeks old.

So we have Frank, Joe, Chet, Tony, Biff, and Jerry. Poor Phil is kind of mad to be left out but we ran out of boys. We may be getting some good detective stories soon. May be that is. Violet and Grace are from the Elsie Dinsmore series. I plan on using it for some years. There are a lot of names to use out of those books.
Also, Speckle and White Face both had bull calves some time ago. I'll see about maybe getting pictures on here soon.
After several mess-ups, our broilers are supposed to get to the feed store on the 24th of May. I doubt we'll get them but I guess we just have to wait and see.
And I was gonna put these on a week ago but just remembered them.

 And my fodder. Wonderful stuff this fodder. It is supposed to be feed in place of grain for any animal. I'll leave this link to explain to you. She actually raised her broilers off of it.
